Southern Slate Outfitters provides top of the line equipment and spreads for consistently decoying flocks of Canada Geese and Ducks. We most commonly hunt grain fields and small ponds while targeting these species. Our spreads consist of top of the line full body decoys and blinds, and occasionally we will lay in socks and silhouettes to fool big groups of weary birds.
Hunting will begin at shooting light until 11 a.m. or until limit is filled. In the event of a slow morning we will regroup and hunt the afternoon if conditions allow.
Field proven and trained dogs will be provided unless otherwise agreed upon
a typical hunt
SAFETY
When hunting with Southern Slate Outfitters, safety is a top priority for our guides, and the same is expected from our clients. No safety violations will be tolerated in our spread. Your guide will provide instruction and safety regulations prior to your hunt so that you and your party know what is expected when hunting with us. All guides at Southern Slate are licensed and have ample experience in the industry. If you or anyone in your party have questions regarding the safety of a hunt, please reach out.
